Heritage is a complex and rich concept.
This webinar will explore:
- Definitions and different types of heritage
- Why heritage matters and its role in developing identity and a sense of belonging.
- Practical examples of where and how heritage fits into both history and the wider school curriculum.
- Examples of teaching activities which explore children’s understanding of heritage
- What progression might look like in children’s understanding of heritage, from simple concrete observations and connections in EYFS to more complex and sophisticated knowledge and understanding in KS2.
